How to Move Items Between Totes

Storage gets reshuffled. A shelf gets reorganized, a bin gets split in two, the “misc” tote finally gets sorted. When that happens, you move the items in the app — you don't recatalog. Here's how, for one item or for a dozen.

Move one item, or select several and move them together.

Move a single item: swipe and tap Move

Open the tote that currently holds the item. Swipe the item in the list to reveal its actions, tap Move, and choose the destination tote. The item keeps its name and thumbnail — it just lives in a different box now.

Move several at once: select, then move

Splitting a bin or merging two? Enter selection mode, tap every item you want to move, and move the whole batch to another tote in one action. Faster than handling them one at a time, and the destination is the same picker either way.

Why moving beats recataloging

Re-photographing two totes because you swapped a few things between them is busywork, and it risks double-counting. Moving keeps each item's history intact and your counts honest. The inventory stays correct with a couple of taps instead of a fresh Itemify pass.
