Introducing Itemify: AI That Catalogs Your Storage From a Single Photo

The biggest friction in getting organized isn't the boxes or the labels — it's the typing. Creating a tote and manually entering every single item inside it is tedious enough that most people just don't do it. Today, that changes.

Meet Itemify

Itemify is StowQR's new AI-powered inventory feature. Open a tote, tap Auto-detect items, point your camera at the inside of the box, and Itemify does the rest. It analyzes the image, draws bounding boxes around every individual item it detects, gives each one a name, and adds everything to your inventory automatically.

A box full of holiday decorations that would have taken ten minutes to type out takes about ten seconds with Itemify.

How It Works

Itemify isn't just a list generator. When it processes your photo, it:

• Draws bounding boxes around every item it detects, so you can see exactly what it identified
• Names each item automatically and adds it to your tote's inventory list
• Crops a thumbnail photo for every detected item from the original image, so each item has its own visual reference

The result is a fully-populated tote — items named, items pictured — from a single camera tap. You'll see a review screen before anything gets added, so you can confirm, edit names, or remove anything Itemify got wrong.

Scan Multiple Photos

A box packed to the brim rarely photographs well from a single angle. Itemify is built for this. You can take multiple photos in one session and Itemify intelligently deduplicates across them — it recognizes items it's already seen in a previous shot and won't add duplicates. Move things around in the box, shoot from a different angle, and let Itemify fill in the gaps.

How to Use It

Itemify is available inside any tote:

1. Open any tote in StowQR
2. Tap the Auto-detect items button
3. Point your camera at the open tote
4. Review the detected items and confirm

That's it. Your tote is cataloged.
